Guide to selecting a CFS host
The CFS One World account operates through a network of host offices and sites in different countries for ease of operation and local support. However, while the list of countries with local facilities is growing, the CFS International site has been created for those:
- resident in a country where CFS does not have a dedicated local host site.
- whose transactions are mostly cross border by nature and prefer to operate independent of the local host site in the country.
A country where CFS has a dedicated site would necessarily mean that it has local banking facilities in that country for account holders to make deposits into their CFS account and for CFS to make local payments to the account holders.
Persons or businesses, resident in a country where a CFS host exists, will be able to open a CFS One World account either in the CFS local country site or the CFS International site. However, persons or businesses resident in a country where CFS does not have a local host will necessarily have to opt to open an account in the CFS International site.
It is always advisable for residents in any country to open and operate a CFS account in the local host site. The advantage will be in the cost of transactions as their deposits and payments will be through a local bank and therefore, by default, be less expensive, quicker and convenient. Terms and conditions will differ for accounts in different countries owing to local regulations and local costs.
Individuals or businesses can also open an account with any other member of the Zipp interchange offering accounts and cards in any country and operate interoperably with a CFS One World account.
Membership of the Zipp Interchange
CFS is a member of the Zipp International Interchange Network. All CFS account numbers are 16 digits and by default act as Virtual card numbers following the IIN standard allotted for Zipp. CFS accounts are also all provided with an expiry date and Security number that can be used shopping online and in POS terminals that support manual card number entry.
The membership to the Zipp Interchange allows for CFS virtual cards to be used interoperably in all merchant establishments including e-commerce web sites that carry the Zipp logo and accept Zipp cards.
